Quotes from the Tanach – An Excursus on Hebrews 1:5–13 (Part 2)

Michael Gonzales

Following verse 4, the author of Hebrews launches his arguments for a “high Christology” on the basis of the Scriptures. He immediately quotes a number of passages from the Tanach which introduce and support his viewpoint that Yeshua is the divine Messiah promised of old, and that His present position is an exalted one. An investigation of the quotes surfaces a number of important questions.
