We were blessed to be able to participate in the 9th Annual Conference of the Asia Pacific Messianic Fellowship, which was held in Metro Manila, Philippines, April 29–May 2. On May 3, we held a second, one-day Seminar for the Lahing Bughaw Assoc. at the Filipinas Heritage Library in Makati City. This one day seminar was directed particularly toward Christian leaders who have shown interest in understanding why the Torah is applicable to Christians.
Over 400 people attended the APMF Conference. The theme of the Conference was: "Interpreting Biblical Prophecy." During the four day conference, Tim taught on specific hermeneutical issues relating to prophetic texts in the Bible, and also taught through the book of Daniel as a way to illustrate these interpretative methods.
It was very encouraging to see how the Messianic groups and communities are developing and growing in the Asia Pacific region. People attended not only from the Philippines, but also from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. It is evident that HaShem is opening the eyes and hearts of people around the world to the eternal values of the Torah, and it was particularly encouraging to see how the messianic faith is growing in the lives of individuals and families.
We want to thank all of you who prayed for us as we traveled and as we opened the Scriptures and taught the message of faith in Yeshua and the life of Torah to which that faith leads. Though the rigorous schedule was physically exhausting, HaShem gave strength and stamina, and was with us as we traveled. We encountered "smooth sailing" as we navigated all of the security check points and immigration/customs both coming and going.
We also want to give our heartfelt thanks to all of those people who planned and conducted the Conference and Seminar in the Philippines. Your generosity, hospitality, and friendship is greatly appreciated!
We recorded (both video and audio) the conference teachings, and these materials will be available in the coming months. |
